Wine Education News and Industry Articles
This section collects our articles on wine education news: university cooperation, conferences, regional project histories and training formats across viticulture and oenology. It's organized as a running archive rather than a single guide, so browse by topic if you're looking for something specific.
Below, we explain what kinds of stories you'll find indexed here and how to check whether a given story is still current before you act on it. For topic hubs rather than individual articles, see our news and events hub and our webinars page.
What kinds of stories live in this category
- University partnership announcements: reports on how universities in different countries build joint programs, exchange agreements or research collaborations in viticulture and oenology.
- Conference and congress coverage: summaries of industry events, their themes, and who organized them.
- Regional project histories: factual accounts of specific academic cooperation projects, including closed ones, reported as historical record rather than live programming.
- Training and mobility stories: coverage of workshops, training visits and exchange activity between institutions, such as the documented project week held in South America.
How to verify a wine-education news story is still current
Academic and industry news ages differently depending on type. A story about a university's new degree program might stay accurate for years; a story about a specific conference date, grant deadline or project activity can go stale within months. Before relying on anything in this archive for a decision, such as applying to a program or planning travel around an event:
- Check the article's publish date against today's date, and treat anything more than a year or two old as background, not current status.
- Go to the organizing institution's own current website rather than relying solely on our summary.
- If the story describes a funded project (an EU grant, a bilateral cooperation agreement), check whether that project's funding period has ended - closed projects don't get new editions of their events.
- For admissions, fees or registration details specifically, always use the institution's own current page, since these change on an annual cycle independent of when an article was written.
| Story type | How fast it tends to age |
|---|---|
| New degree program announcement | Slow - structural change, usually stable for years |
| Conference/congress coverage | Fast - specific to one calendar year's edition |
| Funded project activity report | Fixed - accurate only for that project's funding period, which eventually ends |
| Admissions or fee details mentioned in passing | Very fast - always re-check against the institution directly |
